U10 Boston Bandits:  State Champions!

The Boston Bandits U10 team has had a very successful summer thus far and the sky is the limit with this group.  The team has impressively compiled a record of 24 wins versus only 4 losses while winning three highly competitive tournaments, including the ASA Massachusetts State Championship.  Relying on strong pitching, timely hitting and great fundamentals, the Bandits have proven to be a handful for the best teams across New England.  Strong showings in six regional tournaments included tournament victories at the Chelmsford Mother’s Day Classic and the Think Pink Tournament in Tewksbury.  This success was then culminated with an undefeated run through the Mass State Tournament in Grafton.

The Bandits then went  off to compete at the ASA National Tournament!  Beginning on Thursday, July 30th the team competed  against some of the best U10 teams in the country.  Although their road was cut shorter than they hoped, the team performed great and gained the respect of everyone they faced.  Great job ladies!

The team consists of many local players along with others from surrounding communities.  Included on the team are Alana Ciccarelli, Annie Feineger, Ava Finacchiaro, Leah O’Brien, Charlotte Roiter, Eve Roiter, Ava Romano, Lila Romano, Sophie Rutstein, Olivia Sullivan, and Alanis Toledano.

The Boston Bandits are a summer tournament softball division of Parkway Girls Softball League (“PGSL”) that provides players from the Boston area an opportunity to test their skills against some of the very best teams in New England.  The Bandits field teams in the U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 (Showcase) age divisions that play in 4-6 highly competitive tournaments throughout New England over the course of the summer.  Information regarding try-outs for the 2016 season will be available soon.  Check the PGSL web site for more details ( www.parkwaygirlssbl.com).
