The Parkway Girls Softball League, Inc. (PGSL) is a Massachusetts 501c3 non-profit organization established in August 2006 for the purpose of administering and promoting softball programs for the youth of the Parkway area of the City of Boston, including, but not limited to, Roslindale, West Roxbury, Hyde Park, and the surrounding area, as more fully detailed in the PGSL Articles of Organization.
The PGSL is an equal opportunity organization and no individuals will be refused membership to the organization on the basis of their race, color, sex, national origin, creed, sexual orientation, physical disability, age or veteran status.
The purpose of the Parkway Girls Softball League is to provide an instructional, spirited and enjoyable experience in the sport of softball to girls with league ages 4 to 18 years old. PGSL is divided into four divisions - T-Ball, U8, U10, U13 and 16+.
PGSL assumes the responsibility of entrusting the players in the softball division with the most knowledgable, dedicated and competent adults available to teach the game of softball in a safe, competative and enjoyable environment.
All will be taught the rules and basic skills of the game, including, but not limited to, throwing catching, hitting, pitching and base running. In addition, the players will be taught to play the game with respect for coaches, umpires, parents, fans and each other, Sportsmanship will be stressed.
